Bullying Prevention and Response

  • Royse City ISD seeks to empower students to take personal responsibility for eliminating bullying, including cyberbullying, within our schools and community.  It is important for students to report bullying and cyberbullying when they observe or experience it as soon as possible, so school officials may take appropriate action.  Parents, staff members, and community members who learn of bullying or cyberbullying incidents are also asked to report it as soon as possible, in support of a community-wide stance against this type of behavior.

Any student who believes that he or she has experienced bullying, discrimination, harassment or retaliation should immediately report the problem to a teacher, counselor, principal or other district employee.  To report an incident of bullying or harassment, click on the button below. The appropriate administrators will be notified. Reports may also be made by directly contacting a campus administrator.  Eliminating bullying behavior is everyone's responsibility, and your involvement is appreciated.

    Stop Bullying

Bullying (also in the form of cyber bullying, harassment or intimidation) is serious and will not be tolerated by RCISD.  The district is required to investigate any report of bullying as required by HB 1942, Texas Education Code 21.451 and district policy.

RCISD recognizes the responsibility we have to protect our students from bullying and harassment.  As a result of this responsibility, the district has implemented two policies to keep our students free from harassment and bullying.

School Health Advisory Council

  • The School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) assists the district in ensuring that local community values are reflected in the health education program. The council will address the continued implementation of a coordinated health program including health education, physical education, health services, nutrition services, counseling, healthy school environment, staff health promotion and family/community involvement.

The SHAC meets 4 times during the school year.

To learn more, please contact Brooke Merritt at 972-636-2413 ext.1183 or brooke.merritt@rcisd.org.

The district Policy FFA outlines our overall Student Welfare, Wellness and Health Services.

The mission of the RCISD School Health Advisory Council is to ensure all children will receive appropriate education which reflects the current health issues facing our community. RCISD SHAC members are dedicated to motivating our students and staff to help them live healthy and productive lives.
