Texas Education Code, Chapter 44, Subsection Z, Section 44.902, states the following:
“GOAL REDUCE CONSUMPTION OF ELECTRIC ENERGY. The board of trustees of a school district shall establish a goal to reduce the school district’s annual electric consumption by five percent each state fiscal year for six years beginning September 1, 2007.”
In accordance with the Texas Education Code, Royse City ISD has implemented a district energy management program and adopted policies to conserve energy and natural resources while exercising sound financial management. A summary of the district’s annual electric and natural gas consumption is below.
